The Atlas of Experience

I like the idea of creating an imaginary world.

The authors of The Atlas of Experience have actually done so.

Their small, beautifully-made volume blends art with cartography, and draws you in to explore their imaginary world of human experience. The book includes a pull-out world map, shown here.

The Atlas of Experience has its own size, weight, texture, presence... it has a physical personality which underscores its contents. A book is more than the words it holds. Electronic books, in contrast, all look the same.

I am not alone in my fascination of imaginary places. Visit The Imaginary Atlas blog to see more worlds.
